TRS BackupSender Version 1.06
Update Instructions
*Note: This update is free for registered users of TRS Versions
6 and 7. Do not attempt to use this program with an earlier version
of TRS or SMRDBS. It will not work.
Instructions
- Click on one of the following files to download the update.
The .ZIP file is much smaller and will take less time to download,
but you will need to unzip it using WinZip (http://www.winzip.com/)
or another unzipping program to extract the file. The .exe file
is already unzipped for you, but it will take longer to download.
106.zip (127 KB)
BackupSender.exe (325 KB)
There are two more file that you may need if you haven't downloaded
them before:
vclx40.bpl (252 KB)
nmfast40.bpl (237 KB)
If you have trouble downloading them individually, here they are
together in one zip file:
BackupExtra.zip (155 KB)
If you get error messages that these files are not found, then
you must download them. They go into the same place as the other
files (see below).
- In either case above, you should end up with the BackupSender.EXE
file on your hard disk.
- Make sure that the BackupSender program is not running for
the rest of the steps below.
- Copy the BackupSender.EXE file into the directory in which you
originally installed the program. If you chose the default when
installing it, it should be C:\Program Files\trs6 or C:\Program
Files\trs7. If you're unsure, you can find out where it is by
using Windows's "Find Files or Folders" command. Simply
select Start->Find->Files or Folders. Type BackupSender.EXE
into the "Named" box, and select "My Computer"
or "Local Hard Drives" from the "Look In"
list box, then click on "Find Now". It will then tell
you the correct location.
- When you have the new file copied in, you can start up the
Backup/Sender program.
- To make sure that you are now running the correct version,
look in the title bar of the program. It should show version 1.06.
If not, you copied the file into the wrong place.
- Note: Backup/Sender must be run from the server, so it is really
only necessary to upgrade the server for this program.
