Required Hardware for Processing Pin Debit
Transactions via TRS and PCCharge

1. Verifone PinPad 1000SE, Part# P003-160-02-002 (one for each computer that will process debit card transactions).
2. Interface Kit for above Pin Pad (includes power supply and serial connection cable), Part# 10776-02 (one for each computer that will process debit card transactions).

Notes:

1. A standard 9-pin serial port on all computers that will process debit card transactions is REQUIRED.
2. You need to get the Pin Pad from your merchant services provider, as they will need to program it with an encryption key specific to them.
3. You can get the interface kit from your merchant services provider, or we can sell it to you for $15 + shipping.
4. When setting up TRS's interface to PCCharge, you must choose XML as your communication method.  TRS does not currently support the TCP/IP communication method to PCCharge for debit card transactions.
5. For the smoothest possible experience getting started with Pin Debit processing, we highly recommend using PPI as your merchant services provider.  We have undergone extensive testing with them, and they are trained to offer 24/7 support in setting up TRS to communicate with PCCharge.  With other providers, our ability and their ability to help you set everything up may be limited.  If you are interested in getting rate quotes from PPI, please call or email us, and we will put you in touch with them.
